BL Touch Mount and Bracket for Anet A8
thingiverse
Converted the old Anet A8 to the 32 bit Big Tree Tech SKR E3 Mini. As part of the conversion I needed to make a mount for the BL Touch sensor. This bracket fits behind the cooling fan and is held in by the fan screws (you may need some slightly longer screws). The BL Touch I purchased came with a right angled bracket; which attaches to the support. There is a copy of the bracket for printing as well. Also included are the Firmware.bin, Configuration.h and Configuration.adv files if you are doing the SKR E3 Mini conversion. Be aware that you'll need to change the wiring for the motors and the end stop switches to two pin connectors. The BL Touch black and white wires are connected to the Z end stop as well (white wire to positive). Hint: To set the height correctly, place a 3mm thick spacer on the bed and lower the nozzle down until it just touches the spacer. Adjust the BL touch so when the probe is extended it touches the bed, then lower the BL Touch about another 0.5 to 1mm. Then use the Probe Offset Wizard in Marlin to set the Z Probe Offset. (look up Teaching tech's video on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eF060dBEnfs ) Z Probe Offsets are as as follows; but best to measure you set up: X Probe Offset = +64mm Y Probe Offset = -15mm Z Probe Offset = -2.30mm (from the Probe Offset Wizard)
