BL Touch i3 V2.1 front mount
thingiverse
Like cooler ducts, many probe mounts are available for the i3. None of them appealed to me - or the ones I liked wouldn't work with my machine. I have a rear-mounted T-Rex cooler (excellent, by the way) so my options were limited to a front-mounted alternative. I aimed to get as close as possible to the probe, securely mounted, without obstructing the front view. My Marlin offsets are set as follows: X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 9 Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -38 Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -1.0 As always with probes and mounts, be cautious when adjusting these settings. The probe is only about 2-3mm higher than the nozzle when raised. Start high and work your way lower until you achieve your own optimal settings! Note: this setup is designed for the BL Touch Smart. I've been told it may not fit the Classic (pin too low when retracted) - I'd be happy to redesign if anyone can help me test it.
