This calibration block boasts a thickness of 5.8 millimeters, paired with an upper block that measures 8.3 millimeters, featuring an added pin slot for adjusting height using the base of the probe instead of the tip or verifying height via two methods. This design grants you the ability to park the tip on the lower surface and adjust the stowed BL Touch probe until it touches the upper block, thereby achieving the precise 2.5 millimeter specification. To verify the flat surface of the probe at 8.3 millimeters, set your nozzle to a normal height of 0.1 millimeter, positioning paper under both the nozzle and tool, then place your BL Touch in the slot; you should see no gap between the bottom flat of the probe. This calibration block's simplicity belies its effectiveness as a precision tool for achieving accurate calibrations.
