BL Switch Touch - Z Axis Probe

BL Switch Touch - Z Axis Probe

I recently lost my BL Touch Clone, which forced me to install the original micro switch endstop on my printer. However, this was not an easy task due to the numerous mods I've made to my machine, requiring me to trim and squeeze various parts into place. After spending many hours installing the new endstop, I started searching for a better solution until my replacement BL Touch Clone arrives. This is when I came up with a simple Z probe design that matches the original's form factor, so you won't need to modify your mounting system. The components include one micro switch without its metal lever, printed parts, some filament used as pins, and a small nail. I painstakingly drew out the assembly process, which is quite basic but delivers decent accuracy and repeat-ability. A more ambitious builder could potentially add a servo to this design, allowing it to swing out of the way automatically. This project might be helpful for those deciding whether to purchase the genuine BL Touch or experiment with auto bed leveling. Don't forget to update your firmware to utilize this probe; in Marlin, simply select the "servo probe" option.
