This tool is designed for installing bearings on the Long Drive Shaft of a BK117-C2 Helicopter. The device helps get the bearings past two rivet rows with ease. To access important information, refer to Instructions. Update 6/01/15 I recently printed the latest version in Alloy 910 and tested it with excellent results. No further changes are required. Update 5/28/15 The original version was successfully tested and found to work flawlessly. I made a few minor adjustments afterwards. These modifications include: 1) Optimizing the tool's depth and adding a solid bottom stop. 2) Widening the six rivet slots slightly and adjusting their depth. These changes are minor, and the original version worked well too. So, if you've already printed the first version, you're all set to go! The older version is no longer available. Instructions: Updated 05/28/2015, Print this with 100% Infill using PET type filament or an equivalent material. Only use this tool in conjunction with a dead blow hammer – ideally one made from non-metal materials. For best results, try to match the width of the tool with your dead blow hammer. Notes: 6/01/15 I also printed this item using Taulman Alloy 910 filament at 100% Infill speed. The new version took about 27 hours to complete and performed flawlessly – no more modifications required! 5/28/15 This device was printed with Gizmo Dorks PETG filament, utilizing a 100% Infill pattern. It turned out incredibly solid, requiring just 22 hours of printing time.
