Bixler 2 Finwing 390 GoPro Pan Tilt mount
thingiverse
I built an adapter to convert the Finwing 390 pan-tilt system from my Air Titan to my Bixler 2 aircraft. There are clear spaces for you to attach magnets for added security; you'll want to supplement this with a velcro strap fixed firmly to the fuselage as well. I've used industrial-strength 3M Velco tape and wrapped it around a strip of velcro strapping - take note that it's crucial to route the wires so they clear completely throughout each motion cycle. For now, my pan has a built-in stop at 180 degrees in either direction. Please exercise caution with your aircraft's CG when fitting this system on a Bixler model 2 - be aware of its overall weight distribution due to the presence of servos and the VTX on the tail. Remember that pan-tilts can easily get damaged in crashes, so be mindful of that possibility; personally, I have had one instance where my adapter suffered damage, but thanks to some careful CNC repair work, it's functioning flawlessly again.
