Bix3 Nose
thingiverse
The foam nose tends to take flight if not securely attached via glue or tape, leaving me to add some weight at the front to balance out the flight controller and electronics in its center position. Conveniently, this nose design offers ample space for stacking two pence coins, which facilitates effortless balancing with a standard 2200mAh 3S battery. This nose proves surprisingly resilient when it comes to crashes, often emerging unscathed even after repeated encounters. In comparison, my initial fuselage would frequently end up more severely damaged following even the slightest scratch. Instructions To assemble this nose, print it using a Cube 3D printer, taking note that most settings are subtly hidden, making very low fill rates (20-30%?) necessary. This yields a lighter product, but higher fill rates can make it heavier and more durable. Alternatively, you may find it helpful to stack some two pence coins, tape them up securely from the inside, and double-tape them in place before wrapping packing tape around each side (from top to bottom and left to right) and then around the edges for a snug finish.
