Motor Mount for Enhanced Standard Motors and Props on the Bix3 I created this mount to accommodate bigger standard motors and props, specifically designed for the Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 2836 1040kv motor. It also fits the Propdrive v2 2836 1400kv motor, as well as possibly other 2836 motors with a 33mm diagonal hole distance on the mounting plate. This mount safely spins a 9x6 inch prop. Non-Printed Components Required You will need eight M3 x 10 countersunk screws and their corresponding M3 nuts, preferably Nylock nuts if available. Assembly Instructions 1. Screw the motor to the mounting plate using the lock nuts on top. 2. Place four nuts in the recessed hex-shaped holes on the mounting tube part. 3. Attach the mounting plate with the motor to the mounting tube. 4. Cut the foam tube, which usually holds the original plastic motor tube, roughly at the height where the original motor tube ends. 5. Glue the 3D printed motor mount into place using CA or epoxy. The protruding plastic "wings" should align with the recessed parts in the foam. This mount is incredibly robust, even with 30% infill. I have experienced severe crashes, including instances where the whole foam part holding the motor broke off, yet the mount remained intact throughout.
