This holder can be mounted directly onto the back of any cordless screwdriver. The bits are securely held in place by powerful magnets strategically positioned inside the 3D printed part, along with the nut for the screw cleverly concealed within the same component. To successfully insert the nut and magnets, printing must be paused immediately before the placeholders are sealed off by the upper layer. A convenient filament-change has been added at those precise positions, which can be initiated using the
M600
g-code command. This is then replaced with a sequence of custom commands:

M300; G1 X10.000 Y200.000 E0; park the nozzle in position and push forward the bed M1; G28 Y; home y axis if necessary to remove some filament from the nozzle M105; return to current temperature

The magnets are cleverly designed to be pulled out of their holes by the metal parts of the nozzle, but to ensure they remain securely in place, a small drop of super glue is applied. A standard M5 nut (4 mm thick) has been chosen for this application. An M5x20 screw will also be used. The magnets themselves have a diameter of 6 mm and a thickness of 3 mm.
