Bishop - chess piece

thingiverse

When my seven-year-old son misplaces a chess piece, we team up to create a new one. I guide him through the process of making a three-dimensional model and printing it out. To be honest, I do most of the work while he handles the keyboard, but that's still a lot of fun for both of us. I wouldn't recommend this project unless you're already familiar with it, as my son got frustrated waiting for me to figure things out. Nonetheless, we have a great time together and learn some valuable skills in the process. Here is the result – not too fancy, but it gets the job done. There's a minor overhang issue that I left unaddressed, but you can find the raw files attached if you'd like to take care of it yourself. Please share your modifications so others can benefit from them as well. If you like this project, please give it a thumbs-up – I'm eager for recognition and with your help, maybe one day I'll be famous!
