The Wooden Church in Rastoltu Desert was built in the early years of the 19th century, with the year 1809 inscribed on the base of the altar table. The inscription placed on the front wall, above the diaconal and imperial doors, retains the year 1810 as the year of construction: "Ornamented is this holy church in the days of the elevated Emperor Ferdinand, Bishop of Transylvania: MD Ioan Lemeni, V Protopop Simion Marincaș, parish priest Vasilie Vlaicu. The people of the Holy Union have pledged their support. Cantor Petre, Custodian Vlaicu Kostan 1846, November 1st: 1810 or founded from wood."
