I designed the classic beveled pieces for Exin Castillos since at least the small 1x1 piece is somewhat scarce and expensive. The original pieces were designed by Exin Lines Bros to place torches, fireplaces, and shields on facades. We have also used many of them to simulate arrow slits and even add decorative textures to walls. As an extra, I'll add a new idea shared by several from FDT to make these pieces with beveling on both ends (check the photos).
