Madam was a patron of the arts who ardently supported the works of renowned artists, including Indianapolis's own William Edouard Scott. She admired his talent so deeply that she commissioned Edward to create a portrait of an Indianapolis AME pastor. Following this project, he painted a scene depicting her birthplace in Delta, Louisiana. This object was meticulously scanned using a Creaform Go Scan 50.
