Birthday / Anniversary Charcuterie Tray
prusaprinters
A close friend asked me to make her some number shaped trays for a charcuterie board that she was preparing for a birthday party. While shopping online for similar items, she found that there were paper versions of these going for $20+ USD per number! She asked if I could 3d print something for her and this is what I came up with. All of the numbers should fit on the bed of a MK3/MK4 sized print bed angled diagonally. The models are in inches so Prusaslicer will ask you to convert when you import them. The numbers pictured were printed at 0.2mm layer height with white PETG using the input shaping profile and they take about 1.5 hours on average, depending on the number. Should work fine if printed in PLA, just make sure to hand wash them and do not put in the dishwasherSince the food will be the star of the show, these could be printed with a larger layer height to speed things upChange the color of your filament to match the theme of the party! They only use approx 50g of filament on average, so if you're not keen on re-using / washing a 3d printed food container for the supposed fear of bacteria in the layer lines, simply toss them or recycle them, or repurpose them for something else cool! Some light reading on food safety and 3D printing: https://blog.prusa3d.com/how-to-make-food-grade-3d-printed-models_40666/I realize this will be a pretty niche model, but I look forward to see what you do with it!
