Tipping keeps me creating innovative designs, and I'd love it if you considered making a contribution. This sailing toy boat was inspired by the Birlinn, designed to withstand waves up to 25cm high. Originally created as a gift for my nephew, this model has been meticulously crafted to float effortlessly on the water and travel in a straight line. However, for optimal performance, it requires some added weight - simply add a handful of stones or small toys as ballast. Measuring 275mm in length, 85mm in width, and 150mm in height, this toy boat is sure to captivate young sailors. To assemble the rudder, you'll need a pin about 2.5mm in diameter. For the sail, use string or twine to secure it in place. The sail itself can be cut from cloth or plastic sheeting - think grocery bags, Tyvek, cotton, or even denim.
