BirdNET-PI Samson Microphone Shroud
thingiverse
This is a 3D-printed shroud that will hold a Samson Go Mic for a BirdNET-PI installation. The microphone will mount in the shroud and the shroud connects to a weather-proof job box via the M30x3.5 threaded tube. The shroud has a gland to optionally secure window screen with 0.175" spline. I power the Pi via a Power-over-Ethernet injector and I have run Pi devices outside in boxes like this for many years for weather stations.Links to required items are below.Software and setup information: https://www.birdweather.com/birdnetpiSamson Mic: https://www.amazon.com/Samson-Mic-Portable-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B001R76D42Left Angle 90° Mini-USB to USB A: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004YD6LW0/ref=twister_B01N74NHXWTP-Link PoE Injector: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PS9E5I0.175" Screen Spline: https://www.amazon.com/Prime-Line-Products-7523-Screen-Retainer/dp/B000LNQQZOWindow Screen: https://www.amazon.com/Windows-Replacement-Durable-Fiberglass-Tooltriz/dp/B093YP514TRaspberry Pi PoE+ HAT: https://www.adafruit.com/product/5058Raspberry Pi 4: https://www.adafruit.com/product/4295Carlon 8x8x4 Junction Box: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Carlon-8-in-x-8-in-x-4-in-Gray-PVC-Junction-Box-E989N-CAR/100404099
