Birdhouse Entrance Guard

This is an entrance guard for a birdhouse with a 1.5 inch entrance. The purpose is to make it so that predators can't easily chip away at the wood around the opening and gain access to the birdhouse or simply reach in even though they can't fit their entire body inside. I specifically made this for the Pennington Cedar Bluebird Wild Bird House but you can scale it in your slicing software to suit whatever size opening you want. I recommend pre-drilling the holes before screwing into the wood and making sure they won't protrude into the birdhouse. I didn't pre-drill the holes when I installed mine and split the wood a little. I also recommend using a material that is UV resistant. In this case I used Nylon 645.
