Birdbath for Cage Birds
thingiverse
Formerly, I used a cap from a butter dish as a bath for my birds, but it crumbled over time due to its fragile nature. Given that my birds are highly sensitive to environmental changes, I endeavored to create a new bath similar to the old one with some key improvements. The bottom is now flat, the volume slightly increased, and the upper edges wider and rounded for enhanced comfort. Size: 145 x 104 x 42 mm³ Printed with PLA crystal clear, extruder at 210°C, bed at 60°C Achieving a waterproof bottom proved to be quite challenging. To overcome this obstacle, I employed several print parameter settings. The first three bottom layers were printed with rectilinear external fill, followed by circular external fill for the next three layers. For the first and fourth layer, I disabled the nozzle fan to ensure better connection. Additionally, I increased the extrusion factor from 0.9 to 1.1, resulting in a superior fusion of lines and layers that is both watertight and durable. It appears that numerous models shared under the Creative Commons license are being sold on eBay without regard for the license terms. The Vero-Team from eBay does not recognize Thingiverse or MakerBot as a legitimate corporation, nor do they acknowledge the Creative Commons license as legally binding. Thingiverse itself advises against taking action to enforce the CC rules and instead recommends engaging in fruitless dialogues with the parasitic sellers or seeking outside legal counsel to address this issue. In light of this situation, I have come to realize that selecting the right type of license for shared models is a pointless endeavor. As a result, I am forced to remove all my models from Thingiverse. I refuse to dedicate my spare time to supporting these antisocial individuals who exploit the system for personal gain. If you are interested in obtaining the model files or are an active member on this platform who has shared your own creations, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
