Make art with your filament sample swatches by displaying them in a frame! A bird tessellation design allows you to create a repeating pattern with different colors. The idea is that the fronts appear the same, but the back can have the text of the filament type printed in and you can write the filament brand/color as well. You can also use the eye hole for string some other more tidy storage. The default layers are 0.2mm (you can see all of the measurements in the sketch drawing).I've included the f3d (Fusion 360) file so you can make the border frame to whatever size you need or if you have to edit for your printer's tolerance. If you use the “Change Parameters” option, you can change the number of frames in the specified direction. Then add the corners (found in “Frame” sketch) accordingly. The default thickness is 3.0mm.Additionally, you can change the layer height parameter and the tail will scale for 1, 2, 3, and 4 layers. The back wing (bottom left) will scale to 5 layer heights. With a 0.4mm nozzle, the bird prints in 15 minutes. I used a 0.6mm nozzle and it printed in 10 minutes.
