Can you speak Dutch? Then go to https://www.designuitinspiratie.nl/vogel-tempel-2/ for a better presentation! This is a bird feeder designed specifically for small birds. Larger birds simply cannot fit inside. Food can be placed in the green dish located at the center of the feeder. The feeder itself has a hole in its middle to allow water to drain out. Additionally, the feeder can be removed for cleaning purposes. In use, cleaning will likely be necessary. The various parts of this bird feeder fit together like a puzzle and are glued securely into place. Later, I applied an insulating primer coat to eliminate the appearance of printer tool marks that were visible in the photos. I have no specific reason for choosing the colors used in this project other than they were readily available to me. The two different colors resulted from using two separate printers to save time. This bird feeder was printed at a resolution of 0.2mm with a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm. Temporary support parts were printed with only one wall layer and one top and bottom layer, with an infill percentage of 10%. The other parts were printed with three layers for the walls, tops, and bottoms, and had an infill percentage of 20-25%. The roof parts were printed with support generated by Cura. The mount or ring at the top is secured using a M3x40mm bolt and nut. Initially, I designed this "mount" in three separate pieces, but later changed it to two due to other modifications made to the project. To ensure the strength of this part, I used PET-G Carbon to print it. This material looks very nice but turns a brass nozzle into garbage after only a few prints. A hardened steel nozzle is better suited for this task, although such nozzles are expensive (€30 in my area). The entire model can be found assembled in the "total assembly.STL" file, allowing you to check where each part should go. March 28-2019 - Added parts: "roof total ass.stl" & "step 1.stl – step 4.stl" If you have any questions or think I may have forgotten something, feel free to ask.
