I had bought a bird silo and wanted to mount it on top of a pole that was already in the garden. The pole had a diameter of 32 mm. Simply slide into the post and place the bird silo on top. It is custom made for this specific bird silo: https://www.vivara.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/311912fdf1fa44d9975f669df1268bd6/3/3/33022.jpg There is a screw thread at the bottom so that you can mount it onto a thinner post. But my pole was a bit thicker.
