Adding a switch and an LED on the side became necessary when I integrated a PEP kit into my BIRD 43. I didn't want to drill through the aluminum case, so I thought about using one of the two spare sockets designed for slugs. These sockets have holes that are perfect for 6mm switches or LED holders and can be easily added or removed as needed.
