bird perch for cage
thingiverse
This bird perch was crafted to snugly fit into a corner of a cage, secured firmly with a bolt and washers. The design boasts three sturdy bars for the bird to comfortably stand on. To ensure maximum durability, I employed specific print settings: A layer height of 0.15 millimeters was selected to achieve a thick and robust finish. To guarantee a strong bond between layers, three outlines were printed. Additionally, three top and bottom layers were added for enhanced stability. The infill density was set at 30% to strike a balance between weight and ease of use. A generous outline overlap of 50% was also applied to prevent any weak points from forming. Printing with these settings took approximately eight hours. The finished perch measures 150 millimeters by 150 millimeters in base dimensions, standing 30 millimeters tall. The three bars that comprise the perch are roughly 13 millimeters in diameter but feature a flat bottom surface, making them easier to print and reducing any potential warping or bending during the printing process.
