I'd like to introduce you to my first "bird perch". My bird perch measures 19 cm by 18.5 cm and stands at an impressive 14 cm high. The perch floor itself is a sturdy 18.4 cm by 18.1 cm and just 2 mm deep, with a printing time of 4 hours and 37 minutes. The house attached to the bird perch measures 11.5 cm by 11.2 cm and rises 6.7 mm high off the ground, requiring a lengthy printing time of 9 hours and 42 minutes. The roof of my bird perch is a substantial 18.9 cm by 18.5 cm and reaches an impressive 7 cm high into the air, with a printing time of 16 hours and 36 minutes. I also crafted two barriers to provide additional support - the right barrier measures 16.7 cm by 2.4 cm and stands at 4.5 mm deep, while requiring just 59 minutes of printing time. The left barrier is similarly constructed, measuring 16.6 cm by 2.6 cm and boasting a depth of 4.5 mm, with a printing time of 56 minutes. The bottom barrier rounds out my bird perch's support system, standing at 17.2 cm by 2.7 cm and 4.5 mm deep, requiring just 58 minutes to print. Once I had all the parts in hand, I carefully glued them together using a hot glue gun for added stability. To further enhance protection, I drilled holes into the ground beneath each barrier, providing an extra layer of support against wear and tear. It's worth noting that without proper glue application, these barriers won't hold up - so be sure to apply your adhesive with care. Throughout my build process, I relied on 3D wholesaler filament for printing all parts except the floor. This particular material has a unique property: it changes colors in response to U.V light exposure. In particular, when exposed to UV light, white turns a deep purple hue.
