Bird house
thingiverse
This is the third iteration of my bird feeder-planter-bird house design, built upon the same outer casing. This time around, I'm focusing on the birdhouse itself! Initially, I turned to Google to determine the optimal door hole size. The search results suggested a diameter range of 1 to 1.75 inches. Due to the unusual shape, I aimed for an average width and height. I am certain that a typical nesting bird like the wren will have no problem accessing this space (it might even be slightly spacious for a wren). Moving on to the bottom section, my goal was to facilitate easy cleaning of nesting materials. After experimenting with various thread options, I settled on Acme for its simplicity in printing. To ensure hassle-free assembly, I incorporated additional clearance into the threads and added a screwdriver slot in case the plug becomes stuck over time. The final component in this series will be a mount designed to hang from screws or suction cups. Thanks for viewing! As always, let's join forces in declaring our solidarity against ALS.
