I'm sure you have a stash of spools just gathering dust. Why not repurpose them into bird feeder bases or roofs? We've been testing this design for months now, and it's proven to work flawlessly. If any part - the top or base - starts to come loose, a dab of super glue will keep everything in place. You'll also find that each of the four feeders has drainage holes to prevent moisture buildup. This honeycomb-patterned bird feeder is perfect for your porch or backyard. Currently, it only fits Prusament spools, but with some modifications and extra holes, you can adapt it to any other spool design. Sunflower seeds are a favorite among birds, so keep that in mind. Just be aware that birds can be messy little creatures, leaving droppings all over your porch.
