Bird Feeder Mk II
thingiverse
Bird Feeder Mk II Looks delicate but it’s pretty strong. You’ll need to print 1 feeder, 1 lid and 1 set of links per feeder. The split links just click through each other, as do the rings. Add a spot of superglue (CA) to the ring joins for strength. The top rings click through the pyramidal bracket. Make sure the chains and pyramidal bracket or oriented properly to ensure the feeder hangs level. Tie to a hanger or branch. You can click the last link of the chains directly onto the 3 feeder hanging holes without the rings if you want. Most fat balls should fit but I make my own using yogurt or cream cartons as a mould. PRINTER SETTINGS: PLA, PTEG or ABS Layer height: 0.2 mm Infill: doesn’t matter POST PRINTING: Run a blowtorch carefully over the feeder to remove the stringy bits. Click the links into 3 chains of 12 links each with a ring at one end. Click the rings of each chain through the holes at the top of the feeder. Click the end links of the chains onto the lower triangular bars of the bracket. Add a ring onto the top of the bracket. Insert 1 or 2 fat balls and fit the lid. Hang on a branch, etc. Enjoy. Regards, Paul.
