Bird Feeder ======== Designed for feeding grain, insects and crushed peanuts, this bird feeder is a must-have for any backyard enthusiast. In the UK, you can find high-quality bird food at [Croston Mill](https://www.thecornmill.com/httpthecornmillcomwild-bird-food), where they offer a wide range of products to suit your needs. The print height of this feeder is 165mm, with a diameter of 115mm and a capacity of 1.35 litres (2.4 pints). The design allows for easy placement on a table or suspension using the built-in hanger. 11mm feed openings provide excellent accessibility for garden birds while minimizing the risk of feed falling out of the container. This feature also makes it easy to see when the container is below two-thirds full, ensuring you never run out of food. The jar-shaped design offers several advantages over traditional soda bottle feeders on Thingiverse. It's easier to refill, and the cone-shaped base ensures that feed remains accessible to birds until it's completely empty. Printing -------- This feeder is designed to print without supports, which can be a major headache when trying to clean them out of the openings. To achieve optimal results, use a 0.2 or 0.25mm layer height, 25% fill and 3 top, bottom and side layers. For outdoor durability, it's recommended to print with ABS material. However, PLA is also a suitable option if strength and layer adhesion are more important than weather resistance. Be cautious when printing in hot climates, as dark colours may not be the best choice. A white finish would provide better sun resistance, as seen in the photograph. Note: On February 3, 2020, I made an adjustment to the hanger design, increasing its thickness to prevent it from detaching when refilling the feeder.
