Bird Feeder

My bird-feeder design is perfect for those who live in a flat! I am lucky enough to live in a flat overlooking a beautiful park, problem is, I don't have a garden! So I designed a bird feeder which attaches to the outside of my window, the birds love it! Especially Blue Tits - they love black sunflower seeds. The feeder can either be attached to your window using a plastic suction cup sucker pad. Or can be hung out of the window with string. When we first attached ours, we used both a sucker and string just in case a massive bird tried to use it. Now we only use the sucker as the Blue Tits must weight next to nothing! Equally, this design could be mounted on a wall or wooded post for people who do have a garden! The sucker I used was around 6cm in diameter with the middle smallest "neck" part which fits into the back of the feeder being 1cm - See picture... Whats great about this feeder design is that it allows you to clearly see birds visiting it through your window! Its so interesting to watch their behavior - the Blue Tits that come to ours are very greedy! The little zigzag perch on the front is my tribute to my favourite Design group, Memphis Milano. But also looks pretty cool and the birds actually do perch on it! Hope you enjoy a spot of bird watching with this design!
