<p>Look at the other models in my profile. This part is the final combination of bird seed spreader and the multi-part Mix &amp; Match Bird Feeder from thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1678790 ), and this replaces the base or base-thicker of the original bird feeder. It has a bottom section that threads onto the bird feed spreader (designed for dropping seed from drones). The bird feed spreader is an aperture style opening controlling the dropping of feed, and beneath is a spinning plate to distribute the dropped seed.</p><p>Originally I printed all bird feeders in PLA and PLA+, but after two of the threads broke I switched to PETG. All the PLA parts with thick ( &gt;3mm ) walls are fine outside, but the threaded thin walled pieces will have to be PETG. Some of my bottle adapters and the down pipes are now PETG, and this new part (the page your on) is PETG too. The rest are the old PLA pieces. I also found the original bird feeder base had very thin spurs and ring which broke when dropped or flexed too much so I have another model with a thicker base+ring+spurs. This page has a derivative of that.&nbsp;</p><p>I will update this with photos once the electronics are complete. For now are images of the two separate devices as I don't have a photo of the printed unit. I have tested it, it works, and now I've covered it it superglue and super-hot chilli powder to keep the squirrels from eating the feeder base plastic.</p><p>Eventually I may redesign the whole system to include the electronic components rather than mounting separately.</p>
