Bird Effigy Bowl

Bird Effigy Bowl

myminifactory

This vessel was generously donated by Gene Bucham and reportedly comes from Pecan Point. It stands out for its use of Bell Plain paste and boasts crude, bold incisions that cover its entire body. The incised patterns depict wings and a tail, complemented by a modeled tail that's also been carefully incised. We've yet to see another vessel like it. Measuring 4 1/4 inches in height, the body is noticeably shorter than the head, which towers at about two inches above.
