Bird Buddy Maintenance Stand

Edit 9 Dec 2022: There are now two versions of this stand: v5 has a 39mm internal diameter, and v6 has a 38mm internal diameter. I found with my feeder, v5 was loose, and v6 was tighter. You can grab either version and print it as-is, or you can even make it bigger and smaller depending on your needs. But on the FFCP with the settings below, at 50% infill, v5 was loose, and v6 was much tighter. I love my Bird Buddy feeders! One day, on one of the Bird Buddy forums on Reddit, I saw that someone had a specialized, 3D designed and printed perch. When I asked about it, I was sent to this page: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5627825 Hooray! Someone had designed a fantastic perch, and I was able to download and print it. Made me super happy. Then, I realized, I could probably design my own Bird Buddy accessory perch, with my own flair, and share that. However.... I realized I needed to take measurements of the feeder, and try out various proof of concept and test prints. I didn't want to do it outside - it's almost winter - and when I tried to do it inside, I realized that the Bird Buddy feeder is really designed to be installed on a pole or mount. My kitchen table was either of those things. So, with all of my design expertise, I failed to design a Bird Buddy maintenance stand FOUR TIMES, until finally I got everything right - mostly - and you have what you see here. I'm fairly certain I have maybe one or two iterations of this left, maybe v6 or v7, but really, the only thing this needs is a inner diameter which is 1mm smaller. Maybe. I also know that the base of the Bird Buddy is tapered. I was too lazy to taper the inside of the stand. Maybe at some point, I will taper it, and that will be awesome. But I think I might have the flu or whatever, so you get this simple, basic stand, with no tapering, that is probably 1mm too big, or maybe it's just right? I don't know. I know someone out there is going to just say "dude, just print it at 99% or whatever, and it'll fit perfectly!" And if you do that, that's awesome. Just let me know what percentage you printed it at in the comments, and that will make me smile. Plus, you get to share your own make of the model! Also, if you want to relive your glory days back in high school or college, when you got to wear the mortarboard because of your high academic achievements, perhaps you graduated magna cum laude or something? Or perhaps you were a dropout? It doesn't matter. The plastic mortarboard will not judge you if you wear it. The only thing you need to do is find a tassel, because it is literally impossible to 3D design and print a tassel for this. (Someone will likely 3D design and print a tassel just to prove me wrong. HA! My plan is working.) So, whether you use this to support your Bird Buddy on a table, or wear it as a hat, I hope you enjoy this model!
