To create a birdhouse inspired by the tin can design at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:20851, I used my Thing-o-matic 3D printer, plastic, and determination. Despite limited build platform space, I designed a small yet functional house with an entry hole suited for blue tits (as recommended by the RSPB) and drain holes at each corner. To assemble, print the box and lid, attach the box to a tree using ladder and cable ties threaded through four back holes, and secure the lid on top.
