Bird Barn House

Bird Barn House

thingiverse

Bird barn house for pet birds. Made to fit a pair of conures inside the top of their cage. Fastened hooks with small zap straps to top holes. Assumed this method would be the safest to attach with, the straps will cause no damage to the filament than just hooks through the holes would. First file is the main body with walls, floor, roof and back wall as one. Second file being the front face wall. The face will press into the front nicely, can be glued or screwed through placed holes in the sides. Overall depth of those holes is 9.5mm. I glued ours but with the fuzzy skin texture it seemed to lock in very well anyways. Be sure to let glued parts sit overnight to allow fumes to displace off the glue, not to make the birds sick from hardeners or solvent chemicals. Overall length of just the body is 200mm at full file size to scale. The back door opening is larger then the front door opening. When I printed the file on Ender 3 S1 Plus I stuck with these basic settings: Around 40 hours print time on main body with these settings and scale at .2 layer height. printed main body laying flat on its back face wall and same with second file for front. If you had no intention to hang the barn then some settings could be pulled back to save on print time. "FUZZY SKIN" setting from experimental preset menu at .3 - 3 wall count - 2 skin layers - 4 bottom layers - 4 top layers - 215 nozzle temp - 60 bed temp - .4 nozzle - 15% skin overlap - 2 top skin layers - 25% infill - zig zag infill - zig zag top and bottom layers - 30% infill overlap to walls - PLA Plus - NO SUPPORTS NEEDED!!!
