This bird was created by a 4th-grade student in the Greater Gallatin United Way kidsLINK enrichment program. Our organization equips its students with the skills to master 3D computer design using Blender, a user-friendly and versatile software that's free for everyone. We specifically chose Blender because it's compatible with every operating system, extremely powerful, and offers an impressive array of tools. With Blender, our students can delve into almost every aspect of 3D design, from basic shape manipulation to designing complex vehicles like cars and aircraft, as well as expressing their artistic side through 3D sculpting. Once our students have finished modeling their creations, we print them out using a Makerbot Replicator 2.
