BiQU Magician Filament Holder

BiQU Magician Filament Holder

thingiverse

This is a simple filament holder for the BiQU Magician. The concept behind this design is inspired by my existing setup for my AnyCubic i3Mega machine: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2221639 To complete this project, you will need some additional materials: 4* 608 ball bearings (any affordable options should work) 8* Flat head M3 screws (approximately 10mm in length) 8* M3 nuts 8* M3 washers Print one base part, two rollers, and four bearing mounts. Attach two bearing mounts to one side of the base. Next, assemble the rollers with their bearings and insert them into place. When inserting the first roller, make sure to secure it with its second bearing mount before moving on to the next roller. Once the holder is fully assembled, use an M5 screw and a bearing spaceholder (supplied with the Magician) to secure it in place at the top. Position the assembly on the printer, ensuring that the shorter side faces the extruder motor. Then, place the spaceholder on top and insert and secure the M5 screw. The ball bearings should fit snugly; be sure to align them correctly to prevent any issues with the rollers. I printed the rollers using my Magician, but the rest of the parts were printed on an AnyCubic i3Mega. You may need to perform some sanding or preparation to ensure a proper fit for the bearings. This holder functions as intended and allows me to supply my Magician with 1kg filament rolls. Please note that if there is a filament entanglement, the printer might accidentally pull the entire spool off the top (although I doubt it has enough strength to cause significant damage).
