BiQU Magician Filament Holder
cults3d
This is a simple filament holder for the BiQU Magician. The idea is based on the holder I use for my AnyCubic i3Mega machine: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2221639 Required extra materials: 4* 608 ball bearing (any cheap ones should do the trick) 8* Flat head M3 screws (about 10mm length) 8* M3 nuts 8* M3 washers Print one base part, 2 rollers and 4 bearing mounts. Secure 2 bearing mounts on one side of the base. Then put together the rollers with the bearings and insert them into place. After you insert the first roller, make sure to fasten it with its second bearing mount before advancing to the next roller. Once the holder is assembled, use the M5 screw and bearing spaceholder (provided with the Magician) to secure it onto the top. Place the assembly onto the printer, the shorter side facing the extruder motor. Then put the spaceholder on top and insert and secure the M5 screw. The ball bearings should fit tight, make sure to align them correctly, otherwise the rollers wont work properly. I printed the rollers with the magician but the rest was printed on an AnyCubic i3Mega. Some sanding/preparation for the bearings to fit might be necessary to fit. The holder works properly and now the magician can finally be supplied by 1kg filament rolls. Warning: In case there is a filament entanglement, the printer might drag the whole spool off the top. (I dont think it is powerful enough to do such damage though.)
