[CAUTION] Use care when tightening the bolts into the BiQu H2. The aluminum threads can be easily stripped if overtightened. Speaking from experience... Special thanks to Prexget's "MAD - Modular Air Duct for BIQU H2" This was just the inspiration I needed! My goal was to maximize part cooling without compromising the location of the bed probe. Mission accomplished! The BL/CR touch is just about as close to the nozzle as possible while allowing just enough clearance for the most ridiculous duel 5015 cooling I have come across. To top it all off I added the 5015 hotend cooling mod by CJLAW1611 posted on cults3d. This system is build on top of a my own remixed version of the BiQU linear rail mount by Schwab_Manufacturing_Solutions. I cut down the backplate and added additional fastening points to account for the added weight of this setup. The extruder isn't going anywhere... The files are not perfect. I remixed everything in tinkercad and I am still a novice so there is definitely room for improvement. If you have the skills to clean up my work then by all means please do. Just be sure to leave a link to the files in comments for everyone to enjoy =-P Ender 3 / Aquila H2 Mount X-Linear rail, BIQU H2, Bltouch, 50mm BlowerFan by Schwab_Manufacturing_Solutions October 04, 2021 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4982167 MAD - Modular Air Duct for BIQU H2 by prezget March 21, 2022 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5326018 https://www.printables.com/model/146957-mad-modular-air-duct-for-biqu-h2 Biqu H2 Hotend Cooling - 5015 blower fan by cjlaw1611 https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/biqu-h2-hotend-cooling-5015-blower-fan FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS: -Magnetic Z probe mount for easier access to the nozzle -Bracket for BTT Smart Filament Runout Sensor -Installation and Best Practices Guide 6/8/2022 Ran into an issue today while printing calibration cubes with a new high temp filament. The left side of my prints nearest the x-origin were not being sufficiently cooled and overhangs sagged. I am considering designing my own fan duct attachment that is less restrictive and brings more flow to the back side of the nozzle. Also as a word of caution, PETG is not temp resistant enough to use as a fan duct when printing at 280c... 6/4/2022 [Quick Video] https://youtu.be/RpV4AGejbOI 5/28/2022 [V3...] Third try is the charm.. V2 had some serious issues with clearances so I had to scrap it and make the BLTouch mount a separate part. It now attaches to the hotend fan duct with threaded inserts. Upside is that the mount can be updated or swapped without requiring a full reprint and disassembly of the entire x carriage. 5/27/2022 [V2 Complete] Printing now. I was able to include all of the improvements that I mentioned previously. Can't wait to test it out. The probe mount now uses threaded inserts for ease of installation. 5/26/2022 [First Version Thoughts] Everything went together however not easily. The tolerances are very tight for the part fan base and a couple of the bolt holes need to be widened for the hotend fan mount. I am also going to remove one of the mounting points on the right side since it isn't needed. There is one major flaw that must be fixed asap... The bed probe sits about 5mm to high and does not contact the bed. I'm not sure how that happened but it is a simple fix. I've already thought of a few improvements that may be included with V2. I want to fully integrate the hot end 5015 fan duct into the x-axis mounting plate for quicker assembly and extra rigidity. V2 will have an optional mounting point for a filament runout sensor just above the filament path and a mounting point for an accelerometer integrated into the MAD fan base. 5/25/2022 [MAD Overkill V1] Just finished the first iteration and the parts are about half way through printing. This is still experimental at the moment but I have high expectations! I will update as things progress and add photos of the H2 installed soon.
