Discover my low-cost solution for RepRap Extruder insulator clamps! Check out designs for: - 16mm PEEK insulator with a 6mm extruder barrel - 10mm PEEK insulator with a 6mm extruder barrel - 8mm PEEK insulator with a 4mm extruder barrel A picture shows the order (left to right): 16mm, 10mm, and 8mm PEEK insulators. To create these parts, cut them out using a laser at FabLab or at home. Ensure the PEEK fits snugly in the bigger hole. For the 4mm part, glue it to the 6mm part with PVA and use 4mm screws to secure while the glue sets on the 16mm and 10mm versions. The 8mm version requires 3mm screws. This clamping system has been in use since March 2011 on Huxley Seedling.
