Biplane
thingiverse
Nice looking Stearman style biplane. Prop spins and main gear tires roll. This is a static display or kids toy, it won't fly. Style cues taken from the Stearman and other period biplanes but it isn't intended to be a scale model of any of them. Print Settings Printer: Hictop Prusa clone Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .06 on smalls, .1 on everything else Infill: 25-50% Notes: Fuselage length is 184mm. Top wing length is 176mm. Bottom wing prints in two halves that are then slid into the slot in the fuselage, this is a near perfect fit as printed on my printer. Print doubles on struts and tires. Print all small parts including engine at higher resolution for best results. Use 50% infill on landing gear to make sure they are sturdy enough. Engine, prop, and prop retainer can be printed separately so the prop will spin, but it may give problems so a static version combining pieces is included. An epoxy or other suitable adhesive is necessary to attach landing gear and wing struts. Tires are held on with hub cap which is a light press fit, no adhesive needed. Tail wheel prints with fuselage but will probably break off when removing supports so there is a separate tail wheel included in STLs. Holes for struts and landing gear will need to be enlarged to accept these pieces, printed holes are for reference only. On cabane struts I needed to align diagonal brace on an axis and increase scale for that axis by a factor of .1 for cabanes to line up with printed holes.
