Bioshock Diorama Base
thingiverse
This diorama now features separate STLs for the floor and door, meticulously designed to integrate seamlessly with a Big Daddy and Little Sister from CGTrader printed at 500% scale. The base boasts Creaton13's iconic Bioshock nameplate and a scaled-down Splicer mask courtesy of Audrey2, adding a touch of authenticity to the scene. Both models are optimized for printing on a CR-10 or other large format printers, but can be easily scaled down as needed. I've successfully printed both without supports using 0.1mm layer height for the base and 0.2mm layers for the door. A recommended infill of around 20% will yield excellent results. However, I did encounter an issue where part of the door would sit off the bed during printing. To avoid this, I suggest dropping that model by a few tenths of a mm to ensure a smooth print process. I appreciate any feedback you may have, but for my purposes, this project is now complete. I hope these models prove helpful if you're working on a Bioshock diorama and wish to bring your vision to life with impressive detail and accuracy.
