Bionicle head modified
thingiverse
My kid picked up a brand new Bionicle that had a mask but no head to attach the mask to - essentially just a brain stem. Thanks to reichwec's Lego Bionilce Head Face, I managed to make some adjustments so the mask could attach to a regular Bionicle head. Print Settings Printer Brand: Zortrax Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.14 mm Infill: Maximum Notes: High-quality print, 10-degree angle, support structure minimal. Post-Printing Remove Support Material With pliers and a pocket knife, I removed the support material from the printed model. How I Designed This Thanks to reichwec's "Lego Bionilce Head Face", I had a starting point. I noticed that the Bionicle sockets were the correct size to attach the mask, so I used Tinkercad.com to modify reichwec's head design. I added two sockets from LDraw's Lego parts library and exported them as STL files using LDview software. If you open my TinkerCAD file at www.tinkercad.com/things/cIjrT5tkxAt, you can ungroup the pieces until you find the ball and socket parts. Although the 3D printing took just an hour, I learned a valuable lesson: never promise to design something for my kid's Lego collection unless I have at least half a day to devote to it.
