Dexty - Robotic Hand Design The Dexty robotic hand is designed to mimic a human-like bionic design, utilizing a single motor to control each finger. This approach reduces complexity and minimizes material requirements. Motor selection is crucial; the designer chose motors from DVD drives due to their affordability or even free availability. Assembly of the linear carriage for the motor necessitates a 2mm brass tube or an equivalent material. A variety of M3 bolts and nuts are needed for the entire assembly, including M3x15, M3x10, and M3x5 sizes. Please note that this design is raw and not optimized for 3D printing at present. A detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) will be provided in future updates. To-Do List: Optimize all parts for 3D printing. Finalize the design. Create a comprehensive BOM list. Describe the full specifications of the stepper motors. Outline electronic module details. Develop and share Arduino firmware. Create assembly and wiring instructions.
