Biomimetic Robotic Prosthetic Hand
grabcad
This innovative 3D printed hand replicates the human hand's bones, ligaments, tendons and tendon sheaths for higher dexterity and speed. The project consists of 54 STL files, with 37 designed by the creator himself. Instead of traditional mechanical joints, the hand uses printed ligaments and laser cut rubber to form a joint capsule, improving performance and dexterity. The control system mimics human hand movement for easier coding, and the overall cost remains under $600 due to the use of a 3D printer. Each finger has only 45 minutes of assembly time, making it an affordable and efficient option compared to other prosthetic or robotic hands.
