I snapped my microscope, and the focusing spiral inside shattered, so I manufactured a brand new one on the spot. I utilized the Archimedean Spiral Module code by Manticorp with some modifications to suit my needs. It's not as silky smooth as the original one, but it functions perfectly even at maximum magnification. The friction keeps it firmly in place, even though I mislaid the goop that was originally inside.
