To Breathe Easier Indoors, I Chose the Right Plants for My Bedroom. Here's What Worked for Me. I decided to give my indoor air a major boost by picking up some top-notch air-purifying plants that NASA has vetted as super effective at removing fine dust, smog, and other pollutants from the air. According to their research, these incredible plants are specifically suited for purifying the air in our bedrooms: - Bow Hemp (Sansevieria trifasciata) - Green Lily (Chlorophytum comosum) - Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum wallisii) - English Ivy (Hedera helix) It turns out that plants don't clean the air with their leaves like we thought; instead, they mainly use their roots to absorb pollutants. After buying eight of these amazing plants, I went on a mission to find the perfect pots for them. That's when I stumbled upon Airy, a company specializing in creating pots designed specifically for air purification. As someone studying product design, my creative juices started flowing right away. I decided to create my own pot that anyone can easily print with their 3D printer. My goal was simple: make high-quality indoor air accessible to as many people worldwide at an affordable price. With this innovative pot design, the roots of the plants get optimal airflow from below, allowing them to clean the air more efficiently than ever before.
