To breathe fresh air in my bedroom, I sought out plants that can purify the air. According to NASA's tests, certain plants are particularly effective at removing pollutants from the air. These include: Bamboo Palm (Chamaedorea seifrizii) Dracaena (Dracaena spp.) Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum wallisii) Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) I soon realized that plants don't clean the air with their leaves as previously thought, but primarily through their roots. After purchasing a total of 8 plants, I searched for suitable pots and discovered Airy, a company that developed a special pot designed specifically for air purification. As a student of product design, I immediately began designing my own pot that can be printed using any 3D printer. My goal was to make it possible for as many people worldwide to have better indoor air at an extremely low cost. Air flows past the roots from below, allowing for optimal cleaning.
