This is part of the series of 30 exercises developed during the E3D+VET program. The aim of this Erasmus+ program is immersion in 3D printing of VET centers, located at https://www.e3dplusvet.eu/. The binomial theorem is a fundamental algebraic theorem used to expand expressions of the form (a + b) n, where n can be any natural number. Due to its abstract nature, this 3D model helps students grasp a geometrical understanding of the formula for exponents 2 and 3. The model consists of 8 parallelepipeds and a square base, which together in the right way form a cube. Pieces: 1. A cube with dimensions a^3. 2. A cube with dimensions b^3. 3. Three rectangular parallelepipeds with dimensions a^2xb. 4. Three rectangular parallelepipeds with axb2 dimensions. 5. A square base to support it, measuring (a+b+1.5cm)^2.
