Binocular Lens Cover in OpenSCAD
thingiverse
I've been holding onto a pretty old pair of binoculars that were missing one lens cover - it had disappeared many years ago, so I decided it was time to get a replacement. This design is straightforward with just 4 variables: the diameter of the lens where the cover will fit; the height of the lens cover; the thickness of the cover's wall (ideally a multiple of the printer's nozzle size); and the radius at the base. I printed 4 caps using TPU filament, which provides flexibility and grip when they're on the binoculars. Simply edit the OpenSCAD file and adjust the parameters to fit your binocular's lenses.
