The main objective of our senior capstone project is developing a Solar-Powered Charging Station that allows students, staff, and campus visitors to charge their laptops and mobile devices. By integrating solar panels on Binghamton campus, we encourage environmental consciousness and cut down energy dependence from traditional sources. To optimize solar absorption, we're using a dual axis solar tracking system that follows the sun's movement. CAD tools will be employed for designing and analyzing fabricable parts to meet our system requirements. The GrabCAD Workbench tool will facilitate design collaboration and project management for an improved overall design that creates an inviting space for students and faculty.
